For as long as man has made music, the harp has been especially treasured for its beautiful tone and graceful appearance. Contemporary audiences are naturally drawn to harps and harp music, enjoying the warmth and aesthetic pleasures a well-played harp lends to any special occasion.

An exceedingly well-rounded harpist, Tyra Somers presents an expansive, eclectic mix of musical styles and selections suitable for a wide variety of programs, parties and special events. Drawing from a broad repertoire of folk, popular, classical, sacred and original music, Tyra offers programs and performances tailor-made to delight her audiences and their hosts.

As a featured performer, Tyra plays songs to suit the discriminating tastes of her listeners and the mood and style of each occasion. She might play stately classical selections on her concert harp to accompany a bride and her father down the aisle. Later that evening, she might present a lively program of Irish dance music on her Celtic harp.
